The Darwin Quilt

I offered to finish this cot quilt for someone who lives in Darwin - it was going to be used as a raffle prize to raise money for a worthy cause - the blocks had apparently been lying in a cupboard for several years awaiting inspiration from the home owner, who admitted that it would probably sit there for at least another 3 years or longer...
This is it pinned, ready to quilt; and

this is the finished item, ready for its trip back north to Darwin.

However, it never did make it as a raffle prize, apparently the lady liked it so much she decided to buy it herself and donate the money to the cause!!!
