Building on the Scrappy Quilt idea, I decided that we needed a nice big quilt for our then Camper Trailer and so made this one from flannel! It's been a real winner ever since...

Tartans and Gingham - a Scrappy Quilt
After our return from overseas, I undertook a Textiles Course at our local adult education centre and among a heap of projects that we made were Scrappy Quilts.
The fabric for my first one came from my stash that had been stored in a container for nearly 6 years - and was still in perfect condition. I had a collection of gingham fabrics and tartans (80/20 mix), so I decided to use them, back to back. The lesson was also about QAYG techniques, this being one of many options - this method makes for a fast, easy quilt!
Herewith is the end result:
And here be both sides of my first Scrappy Quilt.
