Pin Cushions & Needle Cases

I'm undertaking a textiles course at the moment, which covers a whole range of things - including pin cushions and needle cases. You'll find below a selection of both...




Photo: my 3rd and final pin cushion using this "pattern". What a difference the various fabrics and trims make!!! This is probably my favourite.






Photo: the 2nd pin cushion - same design, different fabric - this time in taffeta - the stuff you line dresses and coats with - it gathers superbly and with its natural sheen, it makes a very effective item to adorn the sewing table.

Photo: my first pin cushion - it's a bit big but it's great - I love it - it's so easy to use - I don't even need to take my eye off the machine - my arm just goes back and forth and the pins land where they should every time... ...
